Creating a vibrant mixed-use community was at the core of the philosophy for Nansledan and once complete, it is expected to generate significant job opportunities for residents. The Duchy of Cornwall aspire to create opportunity for around one new job per household.
Nansledan already offers flexible commercial spaces for a range of uses, including retail units and offices spaces designed to accommodate small- to medium-scale enterprises. The development is focussed on starter units for small businesses as well as larger grow-on space to enable these businesses to expand in the future.
Nansledan already includes a range of retail, office, cafe/restaurant and flexible use spaces of varying sizes (43 in total, as at May 2023), ranging from around 500 to 2,500 square feet.

Market Street will be the beating heart of Nansledan’s blossoming community and will be one of the first new high streets to be built in this way for over 100 years.
This broad and inviting high street will be lined with three and four storey mixed-use buildings, accommodating a supermarket, a selection of quality pubs/bars/restaurants/cafes, market hall and food hall, artisan shops, health and wellbeing spaces, play areas and green space, offices/flexible working spaces and new homes.
Construction on the roads and infrastructure has commenced and it is expected that spaces will be available from 2026.
