Cycle Routes & Footpaths
Lowering reliance on cars was at the centre of the vision for Nansledan and the masterplan includes a network of footpaths and cycleways to explore on foot or by bicycle.
Footpaths and cycleways at Nansledan
Nansledan’s network of footpaths and cycleways are designed to encourage people to get around without using their cars. The number of routes connecting to and through Nansledan and the surrounding area continues to grow and will eventually create enhanced cycle and footpath links to Newquay town centre as well.
During the ongoing construction of the development, footpaths have had to be strategically diverted to ensure the safety of any users, but these will eventually link up within Nansledan to provide loops of varying distances.
Electric bikes in Nansledan
Nansledan now also benefits from electric bike hire, managed by Beryl Bikes, which links to over 20 bike stations around Newquay. This formed part of a wider initiative by Newquay Town Council to provide better cycling links between strategic locations and may well include further hubs in Nansledan in the future.
