Our Community

By creating an environment for jobs, socialising and health and wellbeing, Nansledan prides itself on the warmth of its community.

Community Groups

Various community groups and clubs are already establishing themselves in Nansledan, including the Nansledan Knights Football Club, Nansledan Cycling Club, Nansledan Golf Society, Nansledan Allotments and Community Gardens, and much more.

Formed in 2018, the established Nansledan Community Association (NCA) is also set up to organise community initiatives, events and activities and has its own dedicated website. The NCA is not responsible for estate management matters, which fall to the estate management companies and FirstPort, acting as the management companies’ agent.

Find out what the Community Association does and how to subscribe and get involved on their website.

Nansledan Design and Community Code

Each household in Nansledan is provided with a copy of the Duchy of Cornwall’s Design and Community Code.

This sets out a number of obligations upon owners and occupiers not to alter or extend the exterior of a property without the written approval of the Duchy of Cornwall. This is because each building in Nansledan has been carefully designed to achieve individuality and harmony within the overall masterplan concept of a traditional Cornish community.

The Design and Community Code is intended to give confidence to purchasers and occupiers, protecting them from unexpected changes to their neighbourhood. If change is sought the Duchy will regulate to maintain high standards for the benefit of all.

    What our residents say…

One of the reasons I have moved to Nansledan is the knowledge that any future development is governed by a design and community code that all residents sign up to. This provides comfort that the architectural integrity and quality of where we live will be maintained in perpetuity, and that’s important when choosing a new home.
